Scrap quilt

Quilt I made for my uncle for what would have been his 50-year wedding anniversary.

My aunt had passed away before the anniversary date.

I was a flower girl in their wedding. I thought I was about six or seven years old.

A few years ago, we were on vacation with my uncle, his daughter (my cousin) and her husband. It was about the time of what I thought was the fifty-year anniversary date. My husband played sly and questioned my uncle about his wedding. Found out I was closer to four years old. I had missed the date by two years.

When we arrived home after vacation, I started the quilt.

The only "pattern" that I used in this scrap quilt was the light-colored fabrics to the center and the dark colored fabrics in the corners.
